Unit 3: Supermarket

Supermarket are an important part of daily life in Britain. More people go to supermarkets every day and bay food, drink and other things they need. The supermarket TESCO is they have got nearly 2ooo shops in Britain. In the supermarket you can bay: food, drink, clothes, school material, technology, sports equipment, bicycles, books, toys, games, CDs and DVDs. There are many more supermarkets now than 20 years ago. Many supermarkets are open 24 hours a day and seven days a week.
A lot of people now use online shopping. But not every one likes supermarkets, they go to a small shops in town.

Unit 2: Soap opera


The most popular British soap operas are East Enders and Coronation Street. These are popular dramas about the lives of ordinary people. Many people are addicted to soap operas. They even buy soap opera magazines. There are also web sites for all the main soap operas. These have got information about the actors and stories from future episodes.

Unit 1: Scotland

There are four main regions in Britain: England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland.
Scotland is in the north of Britain. In Scotland are beautiful places, the lakes, witch and mountains.
The majority of Scottish people live in Edinburgh and Glasgow. They've got lots of historic building, modern shops and restaurants.
For special occasions some Scottish men wear a kilt rather than trousers. The unusual instrument as the bagpipes. There's the traditions in Scotland.
Sport is very important in Scotland. They practice golf and Highland Games.
Scotland isn't just about traditions, there are some very modern parts, too.
Scottish wisky, a strong spirit made from barley, yecst and water is the tradition drink.
